それは罹れば死に至ると恐れられ、唯一の治療法は「聖女」に穢れを払ってもらうのみとされている。
——しかしその「聖女」にはある秘密があった…。

そんな中、神父クリスは、病に苦しむ人々を救うべく亡き父の友・ルベルとバディを組み、触穢の治療法を探していた。
父の想いを受けつぎ、触穢から国を解放したい…そんな思いで旅を続けるクリスは、
国家がひた隠しにしてきた秘密に気づく。
